The other day I was listening to a song called "Waiting on the world to change" written and performed by Grammy Award winning singer/song writer John Mayer. This feature song is on his newly released album "Continuum". The title of the song made me smile because of two words that are in it.  Words that I also heard another artist/friend of mine use in her albums, "waiting" and "world". The artist I'm referring to is a woman named Leslie Clemmons. She released two albums from the same independent record label I'm currently working with, "Verdict Entertainment". Leslie's first album was "Stop the World" and her most recent sophomore album "Waiting for my Conviction". Between these two albums she also used the words "Waiting" and "World". I began to wonder if John Mayer too had felt as much tranquility and creativity in his studio as leslie and I may have felt in ours. Mainly because she and Mayer both used the same words which impact such big meaning behind them. I wasn't really sure about Mayer's studio but I knew for certain about my own. Verdict Entertainment may not be known by millions of people yet, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be. Nor does it mean that it won't someday. 

At Verdict Leslie was able to produce two of the hottest albums I've heard in a very long time. This is because –like me— once she walks through the door and enters the studio a warm sense of comfort takes over, inspiring her true artist to come out.

And as I continue to work with Verdict's President/Producer/Singer/Song writer Rod Clemmons I notice that my creative soul has been able to let loose and feel right at home. I think this happens because Rod has a genuine caring, love, and respect for creating wonderful music.
